the steps.
- 01
add spookat next to it
Paste one line before </body>, or tell your agent “add spookat chat to my site”. Do it on a staging page first if two chat bubbles at once bother you.
- 02
pick where you answer
Connect Slack or Discord, or use our inbox and its phone app. Send a test chat and answer it.
- 03
bring your words over
Copy your greeting and your saved questions into the look page. Pick one of 8 styles and your color.
- 04
export what you need
Chat History has every transcript, and the Chat Report exports them as CSV. Spookat doesn't import old chats: keep the export as your archive. source
- 05
remove Social Intents
Social Intents is a snippet in your site's code, or added through a tag manager, a CMS plugin or a shared template. Delete it everywhere it was added. source
- 06
cancel their plan
Check the renewal date first. Then you're paying for one chat, per site, with the whole team in it.
Social Intents's steps come from their own help pages, checked 2026-10-01. Their menus change: spot something outdated and we'll fix it.
