Effective 5 October 2026. Runs until we end it on this page.
how it works
- Post on X about your site running Spookat. Start the post with #ad. Include your ref link from the dashboard and a screenshot of the widget on your site.
- Paste the post’s link in the dashboard, on your site’s overview. The site’s owner claims it. One reward per site and one per X account. The widget must be live on your site.
- The reward depends on how the site is billed when you claim it. No cash value.
- On a trial: 30 days added to the trial.
- Subscribed through Spookat (paid with Paddle): 50% off the next 3 monthly payments, or 12.5% off the next yearly payment on a yearly plan. It doesn’t add to another discount: if the subscription already has the 30% for an additional site, the larger one applies, and on a monthly plan the 30% continues after the 3 months.
- No plan (the trial ended): 50% off the first 3 months when you subscribe, or 12.5% off the first year on a yearly plan.
- Billed through Shopify or Wix: not eligible for now. We can’t discount a bill the platform sends.
- On launch weekend, 31 October and 1 November 2026 (until 23:59 UTC): put “treat” in the post and the reward doubles: 60 days, or 50% off 6 months (25% off a yearly payment). Put “trick” in it instead and we publicly roast your site’s contact page from @spookatApp, with no other reward.
- Rewards are limited: 200 in the first month after launch, then as many as we decide. When none are left, the dashboard says so and stops taking claims.
- Duplicate posts, multiple accounts and posts we can’t read don’t count. Deleting the post later doesn’t take the reward back.
- We may quote or repost your post from @spookatApp.
how we check
A robot reads the post through X’s public embed service: its text, its author, the #ad tag and your ref link. If it can’t read the post, a person on our team checks it, usually within a day. We store your X handle and the post’s id with your site, so the same post or account isn’t rewarded twice. They’re deleted with the site.
the label
The law asks for posts made in return for a benefit to say so (in Poland: UOKiK’s recommendations on marking advertising). #ad at the start does that. If X shows you its “Paid Partnership” label, you’re welcome to turn it on too.
